The piano is an instrument that contains a large keyboard. When a key is pressed down, a small hammer connected to that key hits a metal string inside the piano. Each string is tuned to a different note. On an electric keyboard and an electronic keyboard there are no hammers hitting the keys. Instead, a computer is used to artificially make the sound of the note.
